CHEN: Indonesia's search and rescue teams have started searching for a military plane that went missing. The plane is thought to have gone down south on Thursday, South of Jakarta. Here's more on the search effort. STORY: The military plane with 18 people on board; including one Brit, a Singaporean, and possibly an Indian went missing Thursday night and is feared to have crashed in a mountainous area about 62 miles south of Jakarta. Forty people from Indonesia's national search and rescue unit and the military have combined resources to search for the Casa 212 military aircraft. The plane had 12 military personnel and six civilians on board. Officials report they are concentrating their search in the foothills of Mount Salak, a densely-forested area that is usually foggy. After 12 hours of searching, officials have yet to locate the plane. The Indonesian air force has also committed three aircraft to the rescue efforts.
