**This is 100% uncut footage from beginning to end** Ok, so I spent ~1 or 2 hours each of the last few nights identifying areas where I was wasting too much time, and then practicing better ways. Without using portal glitches that allow you to pass through walls, thereby skipping entire sections of the level, I have managed to beat the entire level from doors opening to white out in just over 9 minutes with all loading screens left in. My total time to the last module in the incinerator is 8:28, but I clearly could have saved time in a few spots. 1:00-1:16 - I danced the opening in the cube tube, and then danced the drop tube, too. 1:43-1:49 - I totally screwed up the orange portal to get to the top of the low platform. 2:05-2:12 - I didn't time my jump through the portal correctly to have enough velocity out. 2:47-2:58 - Fell off the piston. Considering I always seem to get telefragged or glitched off the piston and crushed, I'll take a few seconds worth of delays. 4:28-4:34 - Missed the jump over the cube tube TWICE. 6:28-6:30 - I'm so fortunate I didn't fall off the ledge when I missed my shot. That would have been at least 5-10 seconds of waste. I escaped with just 2. 6:43-6:52 - Didn't properly place the portal to get the jump onto the catwalk. 7:43-7:47 - This was the first time I tried a floor portal to get the blue module. It uh... didn't work as planned. 8:16-8:24 - Missed the portal for the "not the surprise" module, and then had to re-open the incinerator. I have more time-saving ideas that don't involve glitching, but they require pixel-perfect aim. Maybe someday I'll piece together a speed run where I just practice segments between loading screens for one super-duper time. For now, I'm pretty happy with my efforts. Any help on time-saving ideas, of course, is always appreciated.
