Nascar Subway Fresh Fit 500 Auto Racing Preview

Through 8 races this season the Hendricks Motor Racing duo of Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon have failed to take a checkered flag. Jimmy Johnson came close last week with a second place finish to eventual winner and Gamblers Television 7-1 winning selection Carl Edwards. Hendricks Motor Racing team has to feel confident about their chances at Phoenix as Jeff Gordon won this event last year and Jimmy Johnson took the checkered flag at the fall race at Phoenix. I am not playing on Jeff Gordon this week with 3 DNF’s in 7 races this season. Hendrick’s Racing Team driver Dale Earnhardt Jr is facing a 69 race winless streak but has 2 wins over the Phoenix track in his career but I am not getting to window with Jr. this week. Carl Edwards has three wins this season on intermediate tracks this season and off his dominant effort at Texas he could be tough right back. Edwards has 2 Top 5 finishes at Phoenix. It’s also worth noting that car manufacturer Chevrolet has dominated Phoenix International Speedway winning 7 of the last 8 events over the 1 mile D shaped oval helping my cause with Jimmy Johnson. I will once against pick two drivers and it will be Carl Edwards at 5-1 and Jimmy Johnson at 6-1. Should Edwards win our net return would be 5-1 minus 1 or 4-1 and if Jimmy Johnson gets the checkers our return would be 6-1 minus 1 or 5-1 since we are betting on two drivers and betting equal amounts on both.
