Kiuchi of Nomura Sees Japan Companies Spending at 'Solid Pace'

Takahide Kiuchi, chief economist at Nomura Securities Ltd., talks with Bloomberg's Catherine Yang from Tokyo about a report showing that Japan's economy expanded at the fastest pace in three years, the outlook for the economy and Bank of Japan monetary policy. The world's second-largest economy grew at an annual 5.5 percent pace in the three months ended Dec. 31 the Cabinet Office said today in Tokyo. The growth was above the government's February estimate of 4.8 percent. (Source: Bloomberg)
